Who are you (team and individual names)?
Jim Cashmore, Anne Rumsey, Tom Votel, Mike Wilson
What does your Team Tenacious team do? Where does this take place?
In October of 2008, this team and a few others from around the country trekked in Nepal covering 110 miles in 11 days reaching Everest Base Camp at 17100 feet and Kalapatar at 18300 feet.
Why do you do what you do?
For the challenge, and also because it is an opportunity to test gear in extreme environments.
How did you and/or your team get started doing this?
Over the past few years this team has summited several 14er’s in Colorado and was looking for a new challenge that would put us all to the test…
What do you like about it, and why?
To be challenged and tested.
How does being sponsored by Ergodyne help?
We get a lot of gear that helps keep us comfortable and safe. We contribute to putting the ergodyne products, which are designed for workers of course, to the test in some extreme environments, which we hope improves them and
makes them perform even better. On this outing, we tested CORE Performance Work Wear™. Chill-Its® Cooling Bandanas, GloWear® Hi-Vis Ranger Hats, ProFlex® Gloves, and Squids® Tool Lanyards. All performed at or above expectations. A couple of suggestions for improvements were noted and shared with the folks at Ergodyne.
