NEW ARSENAL® TOOL BELTS AND TOOL BAGS
ST. PAUL, Minn. (September 18, 2006)—Expanding its product offerings for worker safety, comfort and productivity, Ergodyne introduces Arsenal® equipment storage systems—a broad new line of tool belts, tool bags and accessories created specially for skilled tradesmen and women. The line, which represents the company’s fourth new category launch in just three years, will be sold exclusively through Ergodyne’s network of authorized distributors. Arsenal will be available in December.
“Creating a high-quality line of tool belts and tool bags was a logical next step for Ergodyne,” said Tom Votel, Ergodyne president and CEO. “For years now, we’ve been in the equipment storage category, offering high quality bags for fire fighters, EMTs and others. We’ve also developed an understanding of what professional trades people need in terms of quality construction, durability, safety and comfort. We have two and a half decades of experience designing products that are full of ergonomic, safety and productivity benefits. When we bring that to the Arsenal line, you get equipment storage products that are built to stand up to tough work environments and be kind to workers’ bodies.”
Ergodyne developed the Arsenal product line after extensive research on best-in-class materials, a thorough review of the competitive set, critical feedback from both distributors and workers, and a long history of creating products to keep workers safe and productive.
Arsenal Tool Belts
Arsenal tool belts are available in both top grain leather and synthetic materials, constructed to meet the individual workers’ preference. Arsenal leather tool belts are made of top-grain leather—durable, yet supple and comfortable cow hide.
Reversed leather pouches make for smooth access to tools and fasteners, while corrosion-resistant screened nickel-plated storm drains keep tools and fasteners ventilated and dry. Heavy gauge, nickel-plated single and double washer rivets at key stress points help pouches maintain their structural integrity, and heavy gauge six- and nine-ply nylon stitching will stand up to the rigors of the job, year after year.
Arsenal synthetic tool belts are made of tough, puncture-resistant 1680 denier ballistic nylon. Originally developed for bullet-proof vests, this heavy-duty woven fabric is made of high-tenacity polyamide fiber and is the ultimate in resilient material. The heavy-gauge, six-ply nylon stitching stands up to worksite stress. Ergodyne also included high-visibility material to make it easy for workers to locate their rigs in the dark. Pouches have corrosion-resistant screened nickel-plated storm drains and nickel-plated, abrasion-resistant rivets. Arsenal synthetic tool belts provide additional protection with PVC-reinforced pouch bases and reinforced pouch bindings keep these high-abrasion zones looking good and lasting long.
Arsenal leather and synthetic tool belt rigs come with a three- or five-inch comfortable, breathable padded belt, tool pockets, fastener pouches and suspender clips. Rigs also can be customized with additional tool pockets, holders for cell phones, hammers, tape measures and pliers, and pouches for drywallers, electricians and plumbers. Currently, there are more than 20 available components for workers to choose from. All rigs come with a beverage extrication tool, because after a long day on the job, the folks at Ergodyne think workers deserve a “cold one.”
Arsenal Tool Bags
Arsenal tool bags are also constructed of tough, puncture-resistant 1680 denier ballistic material. A unique, durable molded rubber base lays down a firm foundation and delivers unmatched moisture and abrasion protection for tools and valuable instruments. Heavy duty #8 and #10 YKK zippers and heavy gauge six-ply nylon stitching provide long-lasting performance, while the ergonomic, padded carry handle and bio-curved padded shoulder strap offer workers additional comfort and reduce stress on the body—especially important to an aging workforce.
Arsenal Tool Organizers
For workers who carry lots of tools, need to accommodate awkward-shaped tools, grab tools more quickly or are looking for an alternative to tool belts and tool bags, Arsenal tool organizers and bucket organizers come in a number of sizes and pocket configurations. Both incorporate the high-quality construction elements found in Arsenal tool belts and tool bags.

“The professional side of the category is trending away from low quality materials because they don’t stand up to tough work environments,” said Votel. “Ergodyne is proud to fill that need for higher quality because we know the men and women who wear our tool belts and bags on the job site every day need them to function and last. And by selling our products only through authorized distributors, our customers get specialized product expertise and service not found elsewhere. That’s why we say, ‘Not available in a big box near you.’”
Votel adds that Ergodyne is decidedly not focused on consumers. “Most of the product out there is geared toward the mass market—the Arsenal line is not. Instead, we’ve developed a superior offering for the discriminating trades professional. Sorry, Joe and Jane Homeowner.”
