ERGODYNE ADDS TOOL RIGS AND COMPONENTS TO ARSENAL® LINE
ST. PAUL, Minn. (July 30, 2007)—Ergodyne today announces the addition of premium top-grain black leather tool rigs to its Arsenal® equipment storage systems – a broad line of tool belts, tool bags and accessories introduced last winter.
“We build our leather tool rigs with an understanding of what pro trades people need for day-in, day-out work – high-quality construction, durability, safety and comfort. And black top-grain leather definitely reflects the tenacious attitude of these guys and gals,” said Tom Votel, president and CEO, Ergodyne.
About Arsenal Leather Tool Rigs
Arsenal leather tool rigs and components are made of durable top-grain leather, which offers abrasion resistance combined with supple comfort. Reversed leather pouches make for smooth access to pouch contents, while the patented corrosion-resistant, nickel-plated storm drains keep tools and fasteners ventilated and dry. Heavy gauge, nickel-plated rivets at key stress points and heavy gauge six- and nine-ply nylon stitching maintain structural integrity over the long haul.
Arsenal leather tool rigs include a comfortable three-inch ranger-style black leather belt, tool pockets, fastener pouches and a hammer or tape measure holder. Workers can choose from standard models or “build their own” with any combination of components including specialized pouches for drywallers and electricians. The smooth, top-grain black leather, combined with gray trim and brushed metal badging on the pouch front create a classic, “this guy means business” look.
Tool Rigs: Productivity and Safety Benefits
Tool rigs are essentially wearable workstations, designed to provide “a place for everything and everything in its place.” For the worker, that translates into saved time and increased productivity. The keys to achieving these benefits are customizing the rig to fit the job at hand and picking the right rig components to hold tools where they’re needed.
For workers on the move, heavy tool boxes can act like anchors, concentrating weight into one hand or one side and putting workers in unbalanced, precarious situations. A well-thought-out tool rig helps workers distribute tools around their bodies – not only for easy access and convenience – but for balance and safety as well. With a tool rig, workers can keep both hands free and both feet free, allowing for at least three points of contact while ascending or descending ladders. And having predictable pouch pockets on the rig means workers can keep both eyes – and one hand – on the work, important in aerial or elevated jobs where grip is critical.
