Suspenders have always been the weakest part of my Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The heat from fighting fires and the weight of the bunker pants seem to stretch the elastic very quickly, causing the pants to drag on the ground and collect mud and debris. The Arsenal 5093 Quick Adjust Suspenders have solved the problem of weak gear to keep my pants up where they belong. Two things I like the most about them is the ease of cinching them to the appropriate height and the reflective striping. I am easy to spot in low light conditions during overhaul when we may have taken off our bunker coats. That little reflective stripe picks the lights of the fire apparatus quite nicely. As the Safety Officer of our fire department, I will recommend we purchase more of these for replacements.
