How to Securely Tether Tools Using Wire Tool Attachments

Squids Wire Tool Attachment Tool Tails are a convenient way to create an attachment point for tool lanyards on small captive eye tools.

These wire tool tails eliminate the hassle of clumsy tapes and shrinks by quickly attaching to speed squares, insulated pliers, small levels, and other tools with built in, captive eye connection points.

Before applying any Squids Tool Attachment Solution, weigh the tool you're applying the solution to and make sure it does NOT exceed the maximum capacity of that solution. Record the weight in a tool inventory log for future reference.

To attach the 3704 Wire Loop Tool Tail, take the loop end and thread it through the holes near the center of the speed square. Take the copper termination end of the tool tail and pass it through the loop end to create a lanyard attachment point. Attach a Squids Tool Lanyard to complete your tethering system.

To attach the 3705 Wire Screw Gate Tool Tail, insert threaded end of the tool tail through the captive eye on the level. Take the other end of the wire tool tail and begin tightening the ends together. Tighten the screw gate completely to ensure a secure connection. Attach a Squids tool lanyard to complete your tethering system.
