Jeb Burton Racing x Ergodyne: Blood, Sweat & Tenacity

Growing up in a racing family was really special for me. Just being able to be at the tracks every weekend with my dad, watching him race the Daytona 500, being there in Victory Lane with my dad was really special. He was a guy that would run the car really hard into the corner and get everything he could and I feel like I have some of those same traits.

That move looked pretty good, from fourth to the lead in one corner.

What I love about racing is just the intensity of it. It's very competitive. It's not easy to win these races, and when you do and all that hard work pays off, it's a lot of fun. The physical and mental side of driving a race car, it gets 130 degrees sometimes in these race cars. You've got to be physically there and also mentally there to do your job behind the wheel.

One thing that I think a lot of people do not know about racing is one, it takes a lot to put those cars on the racetrack. Without my team, we wouldn't be able to do the things we do. Those guys work a lot of long hours in the race shop, they're away from their families, putting in the time and commitment so we can be competitive. So my guys are always thinking about safety when they're working on these race cars. There's a lot of different moving parts and they've got to have the right tools and the right safety gear to protect themselves.

They've been in the shop 11 p.m. at night and back in the shop at 5 a.m. So those guys are working really hard, putting in a lot of hard work and a lot of different hours to try to get things done and hopefully I can get them to Victory Lane soon.

I would say I hope my legacy is just that I was a guy that worked really hard to get everything that I had and I could drive a race car hard. That's what I want to be left behind and I feel like I'm doing that.

I would say tenacity to me just means never give up. Be consistent and pursue what you love to do. That's what I've done in my racing career and I feel like that's the same kind of thing that Ergodyne stands for.
