How to Connect a Hard Hat Lanyard to Keep You Safe - 3157/3158

The Squids Coil Hardhat Lanyard makes tethering a hardhat to a worker's shirt or fall protection harness quick and easy. The coil design of the lanyard keeps it completely out of the worker's way and prevents a hardhat from becoming a dangerous dropped object.

To connect the coil hardhat lanyard to the accessory slot, take the loop end of the lanyard and push it through the accessory slot of the hardhat. Then take the buckle or clamp end and pass it through the loop. Double check to make sure your connection is secured. To attach the lanyard to the hardhat suspension, take the loop end of the lanyard and wrap it around the suspension of the hardhat and pass the buckle or clamp end through the loop. Double check to make sure your connection is secured.

To attach the 3158 clamp version, take the clamp end and attach it to the worker shirt or collar. Double check to make sure your connection is secured. To attach the 3157 buckle version to a worker's fall protection, wrap the buckle end of the lanyard around the fall protection harness and connect the buckles. Double check to make sure your connection is secured.

Once the lanyard is attached, it prevents the hardhat from falling to the ground while working at heights. It also prevents the worker from being left without head protection and saves a worker time in climbing down to retrieve a dropped hardhat.
