The Skullerz 8963- & 8964-MIPS Type 2 Full Brim Safety Helmets are designed to enhance head protection, especially from angled impacts. They feature integrated Mips® Elevate technology, a low-friction layer that slides 10-15mm during certain impacts to help reduce rotational forces transmitted to the head—forces linked to serious traumatic brain injuries.

The helmet delivers lightweight yet heavy-duty protection for the front, back, top and sides of the head against falls, dropped objects and impacts with stationary hazards. Its compact design improves overall impact coverage and visibility, while a secure chin strap and pad help keep the helmet in place during sudden movement or impact.

Inside, a minimal EPS foam halo provides all-around impact protection. Comfort features include a removable COOLMAX® sweatband and top pad made from breathable, sweat-wicking, machine-washable materials. A height-adjustable, 6-point suspension with a one-handed LockFit ratchet allows for a balanced, secure fit and accommodates bandanas or ponytails. The helmet fits head sizes 6.5–8 (21–25in // 53–63.5cm).

The suspension and shell design offer added side, front and back protection and meet ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 Type 2, Class E (8963-MIPS) or Class C (8964-MIPS) standards. Accessory-ready front, rear and side slots allow easy attachment of headlamps, ear protection and face shields.
