The Squids High-Capacity Tool Lanyards have been stringently drop tested at a certified, third-party testing lab. Before testing, tool lanyards are conditioned for 2 hours in 4 different simulated work environments: dry, wet, hot, and cold. Each lanyard is then dropped at a 2:1 safety factor, a 1:1 safety factor and again at a 1:1 safety factor, requiring the lanyards to pass one 80lb drop, then two 40lb drops. To be considered a pass, the tool lanyard must prevent the testing weight from hitting the ground on all three drops. After careful inspection, the lanyards are photographed and a detailed test report is created to document the results of the testing, which can be found on each product page.
